EYEHATEGOD – masters of sticky sludge and heavy blues – are returning to So Cal after a string of shows early this year and the release of their first new album in 14 years! While their imagery, and even just the name alone, make EHG seem scary and intense, seeing them live brought a whole new perspective to how down to earth and fun this band can be! Afterall, they are just playing the blues!!! Slow and heavy, punk blues 😉
EYEHATEGOD’s self-titled album is out now on Century Media and is one of the best heavy albums of the year. If you haven’t yet, check out the multi-part documentary, NOLA: Life, Death, & Heavy Blues From The Bayou from Noisey. Episode 2 (below) and Episode 3 focus on EHG and does a great job humanizing this band and their struggles (along with stories of rad acid trips).
Joining them on Monday, November 3rd at Los Globos will be a full on assault from the likes of Power Trip (Dallas crossover thrash), Iron Reagan (sup group featuring members of Municipal Waste and Darkest Hour), and Witchaven (blackened thrash from San Berdoo). See ya in the pit!
