For the past 5 years, Burger Records and the Observatory OC have been putting on bad ass shows and music festivals together. Burgerama usually goes down around this time, but instead, the power couple decided to celebrate with a 5 day anniversary fest and push Burgerama to later in the year. So we grabbed our cameras and headed to the OC to catch the last 2 days of the party. For most of the bands, this was their California stop before heading to Austin for SXSW. There were the usual suspects (Cherry Glazerr, Black Lips, Nobunny, Colleen Green), as well as some old school bands taking us back to the early 2000’s (Moving Units, Crystal Castles), and a couple dope hip hop acts (Pouya, Too $hort).

I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in Southern California and be able to see all these rad bands play in town. We’ve met so many awesome people going to the Burger/Observatory shows in the last few years. It’s really cool to see familiar faces and be surrounded by people who love what you love so much. It’s all about the music and the homies and being able to share moments like these together. Cali love forever, man.
