Cool-Tite turned 3 this past March, so to celebrate we’re throwing a party at The Hi Hat! This year, not only will The Cool-Tite Crew be spinning the vinyl hits, but we’ve also pieced together a showcase of local bands – Prettiest Eyes, Pinky Pinky, The Cigarette Bums – to help with the good times.

Prettiest Eyes as caught by Cool-Tite over the years
We had talked about starting a music site for a few years, and it was in March 2014 that Cool-Tite.com first went live! With the goal of “Bringing you LA’s Coolest, Titest garage, punk, and vinyl culture,” we started to document the shows we’d go to, publish playlists, share new music videos, and provide a weekly list of recommended shows in LA. Crystal, Sergio, and I (Mat) continue to run every aspect of Cool-Tite in the DIY sense, and while it can be tiresome, the support we receive and all the rad times we’ve got to experience over the years has been totally worth it.
Each year our party seems to grow – last year Resident let us take over for a Sunday afternoon hang, and for our first year we had a good ol’ fashioned backyard BBQ. Join us this year at The Hi Hat on 4/22 as we continue to grow!
