Switchblades.  Satan.  Leather.  Gangs.  Power.  Horror.  Fights.  Freedom.

These are just some the words that come to mind after having listened to Death Valley GirlsGlow In The Dark on repeat since its Burger Records release on June 10, 2016.

You gotta give this record a spin – it really speaks for itself.  Title track “Glow In The Dark” is like a summoning to some cultish party, while the transition to “Disco” and “Death Valley Boogie” really gets the good times rolling.  B-side lead, “I’m A Man Too”, is a solid “hell-yeah” moment, while “Horror Movie” – a cover of the 1974 track of the same name by Austrailia’s Skyhooks – is a refreshing ode to rock’n’roll past.

For us, I think what has been most exciting about the new record is how well it captures the good-time, rockin’ vibes of DVG’s live show.  And the physical record itself lives up to the name… it literally GLOWS IN THE DARK.  Be sure to pick up a copy from Burger!

To celebrate the record release, Death Valley Girls will be taking over the Echo on 06.30.2016 alongside Peach Kelli Pop and Frankie & The Witch Fingers. (Get your tix HERE OR roll the dice and enter to win from Cool-Tite HERE).
