Personal faves this time around include: “Fucking Love” from The Birth Defects new record Everything is Fine – a thrashing Motörheaded blitz; the sci-punk gallup from Mind Spider‘s new record, “Never Like That”; “Red Heavy,” the lead single from Bush Tetras‘ first new recordings in about a decade is gritty with the right amount of angst; Surfbort‘s tongue-in-cheek slacker track “Les Be In Love” is real grower; and Rik and The Pigs‘ bratty anthem “Donny Says” is a fresh take on some classic sounds that needs to be on repeat.
