Our last show of 2016 was the Honey Power Holiday Fiesta, hosted by the Honey Power Collective, of course. The show took place at local fave The Hi-Hat, and was a benefit show for the Northeast LA Winter Homeless Shelter. On the bill were MeatbodiesKate Nash, and Kera and The Lesbians, with DJ sets by Ty Segall, Spencer Dunham (Allah-Las), and Shana Cleveland (La Luz).  Needless to say, the event was stacked with great talent and some super cool people!

The event raised over $4,700 dollars through ticket sales and raffle tickets for various prizes, including hats from Mac DeMarco, a drum lesson from Patty Schemel (Hole/Upset), a guitar lesson from Bonnie Bloomgarden (Death Valley Girls), and a portrait caricature by Shana Cleveland, among many other sweet options. Still bummed we didn’t win anything!

We just missed Kera and The Lesbians (who we were really excited to see), but had enough time to grab a few beers before Kate Nash hit the stage.

Closing out the night were the wild and weird Meatbodies, who got the whole place bangin!
