We fell so hard for Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats 2011 album, Blood Lust, and the acid-washed, doom-laden psych-outs they dropped on tracks like “I’ll Cut You Down” and “Ritual Knife.”  The newly released The Night Creeper, on Rise Above Records, is quite a return to form, as this new record totally and completely rules all.  Something about the album feels more accessible than previous works – which is fucking great, ‘cuz it’s not too often you can throw on a band often described with words like “heavy” and “doom,” and have everyone be into it! Uncle Acid takes us on a sonic journey that illicits such unique and hauntingly chill imagery.

Suggested tracks include: “Murder Nights,” “Pusher Man, and “Melody Lane.”

And the vinyl – oh, THE VINYL – is so well done and quite the pleasure to have and hold. As with previous Uncle Acid releases, The Night Creeper comes in an array of limited color runs, ranging from very limited “die hard” editions on clear and a red/white splatter (100 and 250, respectively), a tour only edition on milky clear, and U.S. Indie retailer edition of 500 on translucent green (pictured).

We highly recommend this album and suggest catching Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats as they tour the states – stopping October 1, 2015 at The Fonda Theatre, and October 2, 2015 at The Observatory OC. Check out the album HERE, or in the player below.
