On February 10, Hedi Slimane presented his 2016 fashion collection for Yves Saint Laurent at the Hollywood Palladium. Hedi has been an avid supporter/photographer of the LA and underground music scene for some time, so it’s no surprise he included some local artists in his recent campaign. Following the show, there was a rad after-party with live performances by Father John Misty, Beck, Joan Jett, Allah-Las, The Sloths, Cherry Glazerr, Curtis Harding, No Parents, Bleached, Kim and The Created, and Mystic Braves. Although the party was cut short, and the last two bands were unable to play, it was still one hell of a party. And while there seems to be a lot of drama and controversy surrounding the event for some reason, we had a blast! Free show, free booze, free food. Who the hell could be mad at that.
