We warned you! Mind Meld totally ruled all on Night 3 of their Monday night February Residency at The Echo! With support from Shark Toys, Flat Worms, and Rearranged Face, Mind Meld performed to a packed house and really got the place bangin’.
We arrived just in time to catch Flat Worms, which was a slight bummer ‘cuz we heard nothing but good things about Rearranged Face! Comprised of Will Ivy (Dream Boys, Wet Illustrated, Bridez), Justin Sullivan (Kevin Morby, The Babies) and Tim Hellman (Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Sic Alps), these dudes were full-on face-melting energy. “Red Hot Sand,” from their new EP out now on Volar Records, was certainly the standout for me!
Next up were Mind Meld, and they were smokin’ hot! Bert was an incredible showman on guitar and vocal duties as Erik kept ’em chugging along and Liz pounded through the heady jams. Very impressed, eyes still red for the hazy goodness.
